Since January 2019, students have been able to update their lived name on the Enrollment Form at the start of each semester. Students may update their lived name at any time after the Enrollment Form has closed in the Student Biographical Change Form available through the Registrar’s Office.

The College continues to store legal name because it is required in a few areas of the College. For more information about where lived and legal names for students are used on campus and externally, as well as additional details, please visit the Registrar Office’s Name Changes page.

Since January 2020, students have been given the option on the Enrollment Form to select pronouns. Students may update their pronouns at any time after the Enrollment Form has closed in the Student Biographical Change Form available through the Registrar’s Office.

Students' pronouns, if selected, display on class rosters in Polaris and Canvas, as well as in the student profile and rosters of majors and minors within Polaris. Pronouns are visible in the College's online directory when accessed on the µÚÒ»³Ô¹Ï network, unless students opt NOT to have their pronouns displayed in the directory. Faculty and staff can update their lived name, distinct from their legal name, in the employee system of record, Workday, and have the name Workday calls “preferred” reflected in the campus directory and in the email display name.

Since January 2019, the lived name in Workday has been consistently reflected in Polaris and Canvas for all faculty.

Pronouns are visible in the College's online directory when accessed on the µÚÒ»³Ô¹Ï network. Pronouns for students and employees will not be available to those viewing the College's directory outside µÚÒ»³Ô¹Ï's network.
